"Yeah 'For the first time, we encountered Umakant sir (he started with plant kingdom . It was so boring. Many of us thought, he loved the blackboard more than his students. But tha clarity and patience with which he explained tha concepts accompanied by well labelled diagrams made Biology much easy to learn & interesting too. Be it offline classes or online zoom meetings, he taught even tha most complicated topics in Biology in greatly simplified ways. (Now in MBBS, we miss teachers like him.) No matter how silly or dumb the doubt might be, in the morning 8 AM Or night 10 PM, we never hesitated to approach him. He made us solve good quality questions during lectures and gave us lots for practice at home. It was because of him, I could score 355 in Biology and a perfect 180 in Botany in NEET. It also helped me in qualifying KVPY.

Though he is not one with a great sense of humor, he is ane of the best faculties in Biology you well ever come across. (I must admit, sir often cracks one or two legendary jokes).
